Playing the piano is the basic equipment of a daughter from a good family in the 19th century. Emilie Mayer, Clara Schumann, Fanny Hensel break the social rules with their careers. They appear as pianists, give lessons, compose music, perform chamber music, conduct orchestra rehearsals. They decide to have a family or deliberately do not marry. They publish their works under another name or have to keep a low profile in the shadow of their famous male family members.
